Week 4 (22nd April 2019 -28th April 2019)
On the 26th April 2019, the students gathered at 12.00pm at E5.04 studio, presented their proposal. The presentation took almost 3hrs and most of the groups successfully presented even minor changes commented by Ms. Norji and Mr. Edwin to be further improved. The description of the proposal as followed:
Group 1: Sponsorship team
Darren, who was appointed as the Project Manager for the team presented the proposal. 17 students were assigned to the group and then it been divided into subgroups inclusive of Furniture team, Stationeries team, Paint team, and Reading Materials and Books team.
Each group has appointed its own team and leader as follows:

The whole process was monitored by Darren and Fiona as the Project Managers, whereas Jordan and Alia were appointed as the treasurer for the team. As to date, the furniture team lead by Yang Cheng managed to secure sponsors from a several donors. The list of furniture donated was listed as below:

Group 2: Exterior walls and surrounding
Leon, who was appointed as the operations manager for Group 2 presented the proposal. There were 20 students assigned in the group and the task mainly focused on the exterior building where a few tasks to be performed on site. Task has been divided fairly into five division as details:

Paint external walls with a mural design
-
Clean of the outlying area
-
Clean of reading space compound
-
Clean of drain
-
Clean and paint the staircase
For the colour scheme, there are two proposals presented. The first theme, a chocolate scheme proposed where the color revolve around into different shades of brown and grey were mixed making a chocolate taste. Rationale: To attract the children’s attention as student’s belief they like to eat sweet and feel the excitement of the chocolate flavor. The second theme, which called a complex scheme. It is a combination of 4 series colours include of ivory white, blue, mambo grey and yellow border were mixed in different patterns and usage of areas in color to form a complex theme.
In the end, majority agreed with the complex scheme to be applied in space as the series of the color chosen represent warmth and happiness.

Group 3: Interior walls and floor transformation
Royce Kota, who was appointed as a group leader for group 3 presented the proposal. There were 30 students assigned in the group which focused on the interior spaces of the mini library. Task were divided fairly into several division as details:

Paint interior walls with a mural design

Clean the interior flooring and apply epoxy resin as finishing
-
Clean the window and install the lock set
-
Clean and paint the main door
Three ideas were presented for the restoration. The 1stproposal was the ‘Jungle Theme’ where ideas revolves around different shades of green and blues, along with character of animals painted on the windows to match the environment of the village. The 2nd proposal was the ‘Ocean Theme’, where the colours revolve around blue. The 3rd proposal was the ‘Galaxy Theme’ mural where it allowed the kids to gain interest and feel inspired by looking at it. In the end, majority agreed with the 3rd proposal as it suited the surroundings.
Group 4: Lighting and Book
Sula Adha, who was appointed as a group leader for Group 4 presented the proposal. There were 8 students assigned in the group which focused to filter the donated books, coding and books arrangement, lighting of the space, as well as fixing the fans and plug at the mini-library. Task were divided fairly into several division as details:

Remove and clean the shelves
A few proposals were presented, unfortunately been rejected due to the over pricing. They were advised to refer to the existing lighting condition and propose similar design which can be purchased at IKEA. The team were requested to design the layout plan and determine the furniture checklist to be purchased.
Group 5: Interactive Fun-learning Aids
Joe, who was appointed as a group leader for Group 5 presented the proposal. There were 16 students assigned in the group which mainly focused on the interactive fun-learning aids at the mini-library wall. Task were divided fairly into four types of subjects and teams as details:
English - Alphabetic Puzzle and Word Game
Team: Alifa, Hay Ze, Maeesha, Hiba and Thili
Mathematic - Snakes and Ladders, Abacus and Spinning Cubes
Team: Parisa, Tisya, Yi Jie and David
Science - The Growth Observation, Taste and Food Chain
Team: Joe, JT and Qila
Arts - Play Dough and Painting Activities
Team: Eunice, Yu Jing, Nad and Zihah
Group 6: Pre+post, photography, video, food and logistics
Royce, was appointed as a group leader for group 6 presented the proposal along with his group members. There were 6 people assigned to the group and mainly focused on design and managed the content to be published on social media, photography, video, food arrangement and logistics.
Task has been divided fairly into five division of task as details:

Food
They presented their poster design which later to be published on the social media such as Instagram, Facebook, etc. They planned to co-operate with the sponsorship team to spread the awareness and encouraged the whole class to participate in the process by sharing the social media links invited guests to follow and like the page.
Other than that, initial design of website created by Chen which later become the platform to gather all the work performed for the mini-library. In the end, Royce played the video which he has created, so that all the students able to imagine the condition of the existing site which need to be renovated in future.
All students were required to create their individual blog, write a reflective journal weekly and determined the work assigned in the overall project. The link will be posted in the main website for further reference. Overall, the presentation took almost 2 hours and 30mins. Finally, Ms. Norji has allocated a certain amount of budget to be spent for each group as details:
Group 1: Sponsorship Team – RM1000 for furniture
Group 2: Exterior walls and surrounding – RM 2000 for basic tools, equipment and paint
Group 3: Interior floor and wall transformation - RM 2500 for basic tools, equipment and paint
Group 4: Shelves and books arrangement - RM 1000 for lighting and fans
Group 5: Interactive Fun-learning Aids - RM 1000 for materials
Group 6: Pre and post, pictures, video, food and logistics - RM 2000 for food, tablet and logistic
